happy 4th of JULY!

we had an amazing independence day grilling with family!

nana joanna and brad came over to eat with us. when we pulled out the apple pie and ice cream for dessert, they had a quick buddy lol.

i made ribs for the first time and they were so good! i used my friend nancy's recipe and simmered them in water and 2 cups brown sugar for about 2 hours, then i grilled them while covering in bbq sauce. so good!

i saw this apple pie on a magazine cover at the grocery store and thought, i could totally do that. so i did! the apple pie and homemade crust recipes are on my blog popcornanddaughters.blogspot.com!

farmers market

last saturday aaron and i went to the farmers market in downtown salt lake, something i wanted to do all last summer but never got around to. i love it because it reminds me of the saturday market back home in alaska. this saturday while aaron was golfing (surprise lol) avenue and i took aunt kari. avenue loved seeing all the dogs, he likes to pet them and let them lick his face off. as ave would say, YUCK!

avenue loves the pool. he also likes to laugh when you laugh, he acts like he knows whats so funny. its pretty cute cause we are usually laughing about something he did! me and his aunt kari had to fake laugh a little while to get him to laugh and capture this!

a little bit of summer

this summer is finally getting warm and we have been eating up this amazing weather!!
this is avenue trying to play with my belly button, something he does when he is trying to fall asleep. he lays next to me with his passy and plays with my button.

we LOVE the pool! we fill up the wagon with all of our pool stuff, and ave, and head down to the pool at our apartments. its a nice pool and perfect for us!

this is aarons second fathers day! yay! thanks to the best dad, from me and avenue! im very grateful to have such an amazing baby daddy:)love you aaron xoxo

bath time

avenue loves his baths...most of the time. this was one of them, so i pulled out the camera.

this first bath picture is my favorite because his smile looks like mine when i was his age, at least in pictures. so cute.

summer time!

its finally warming up in june! it has been the longest spring in utah and it even snowed end of may! super annoying for those of us waiting to go to the pool.



we put him in the water and he loved it! he would throw the balls off the side of his toy and raise his arms and yell SCORE! he kicks and laughs and loves every second.
